When contracting with a any tree service. The very first question you should ask. Is. CAN YOU PROVIDE CERTIFICATES OF GENERAL LIABILITY INSURANCE "and " WORKERS-COMP???

Arbormax has $2,000,000 in liability insurance and workers comp for our employees. The liability insurance is for the protection of your home and property. Any damage that occurs directly or indirectly as a result of the tree removal will be covered. Most policies include personal injury. Personal injury does not cover any person employed by the company. This is where the workers compensation comes into play. It covers any injury , disease, or death that occurs. It relieves the property owner of any liability of injury, disease, or death.

If a contractor does not have liability insurance, and damages your property. It could be almost impossible to be compensated for your damage. Think about it. If they can not afford the insurance, they definitely can't afford to fix your house, if they drop a tree on it. The same is true for workers-comp. With an added bonus. If someone gets hurt on your property, they can and probably will sue "YOU". As unfair as this may seem. It happens.

Last but not least. By law a contractor can not give you a certificate of coverage.  You must contact their agent or provider. This is to prevent fraud. In past cases. When  policies have expired, companies have forged the expiration date and ran new copies. This is still a common practice among deceptive businesses.
